The two roles
Civilian
Sees the secret word. Most of the table is one.
Imposter
No word — just a hand-written one-word hint, unless hints are off. Blend in without ever learning what everyone is talking about.
A round, start to finish
Pass the phone. Each player swipes their card up, reads it, hides it, hands it on.
Going round the table from whoever the app names, each player says one word connected to the secret.
Argue. Too obvious a clue hands the word to the imposter; too vague and you look like one.
When the table has settled on someone, tap Reveal. The phone shows the word and who was faking it.
Who wins
You do, out loud. The app deals the cards, keeps time and reveals the answer. It does not take the vote, because it cannot hear the room.
Guess right and the table wins. Guess wrong, or never agree, and the imposter got away with it.
Nobody is eliminated and nothing is scored. Tap Next round and play again.
If you forget your word
Tap the ? while you are talking, pick your own name, and hold. It hides the moment you let go.
