Reviewing changes
The example · Ananya reviews her 2 changes and commits them to a new branch, new-checkout. Before it is merged, the branch is verified against staging.
Open Review
Press Review in the top bar. It lists every change in your draft, main beside yours, grouped by Journey, Pages, Components and Styles.
Check each change
| Left panel | Shows |
|---|---|
| Delta | Only your changes, grouped by kind. The default. |
| Complete | The whole product, every page, component and style, with your changes marked. |
- Pick a change to see main and your draft side by side, or as an overlay.
- Undo on a change removes just that one from your draft.
The right panel has Commit and History, and folds away when you want the page wider.
Commit
Write a message that says what and why, then commit to:
| Choice | Use it when |
|---|---|
| New branch | This is new work. Name it for the work: new-checkout |
| Add to an open branch | You are adding to work already in progress |
A commit is permanent: an author, a time, a message and its changes. Your draft empties; the changes now live on the branch. On Team, AI suggests the message from what changed.
Committing never changes main. Only a merge does.
Verify before merging
On the branch, press Verify in the top bar, pick what to compare with, and run it. Babul renders the branch at every size you design for and compares each page.
| Compare with | Use it when |
|---|---|
| The captured site | Checking the branch did not move anything it should not (the default) |
| Any URL | Checking a build: staging, a preview deploy, production |
Read the score
- 0–100 per page and for the branch: the share of what the page shows that matches.
- Empty background both sides share is not counted.
- Each difference is marked from this branch or not. "Only my changes moved" is the answer you want.
The score is a fact, not a gate. On Team, Merge waits for one Verify run, whatever the score.
Verify is on Team. A product started blank has no captured site, so it is verified against a URL.
