Why it is drawn this way

Only on the edge from a result to the next game. The chart shows it: every edge into this screen leaves a result, by Rematch. There is no edge from the board.

Never over the result. The current app shows it 1.2 seconds after the game ends, on top of the outcome the player has not yet read.

Never mid-game. Not on pause, not on resume, not while the computer thinks.

The ad is Google's surface. This file marks its place and its close button. How often it shows is not decided; it is an open task.
