No renewal or pre-debit emails

Decision

Chitragupt sends no renewal email and no RBI pre-debit notice. Both are retired, with their wireframes and their unused templates.

Why

Both were written for plans that renew on a mandate. freemium-per-ay rules that out: an unlock is one payment for one AY, never a subscription, never auto-debit. The two emails described a product that does not exist, and the wiki held both claims at once. The owner chose the freemium rule on 2026-10-25.

Impact

• email-billing-pre-debit and email-billing-renewal are superseded.
• designs/email/email-billing-pre-debit.html and email-billing-renewal.html are deleted; the email gallery is renumbered.
• makeBillingPreDebitEmail and makeBillingRenewalEmail are deleted from apps/functions/src/_lib/email-templates/subscription.ts. Nothing called them.
• transactional-email marks #14 and #15 retired.

Status
