Why it is drawn this way

Submit requests, it does not join. The mutation is requestUnitMembership; the member is PENDING_APPROVAL until a society admin accepts. So Submit is drawn leading to the locked home, which is where the gate puts that user.

Each row can be edited in place, and a failed submit is swallowed: the catch is empty and the screen shows nothing.
