The product is redesigned from scratch, smaller

Decision

Babul is redrawn from a blank page, one screen at a time, each approved by the owner before the next: version control for design (Capture → Journey → Pages → Components → Styles), Analysis of the live product, AI, a CLI and an MCP server, and every change a commit on a branch that merges to main as a version. The screens in .context/designs/web/ are the spec; the app is rebuilt to them, zero legacy.

Why

The owner, 2026-10-22: the product had been over-engineered. The rules are .claude/rules/simplicity.md: the smallest thing that works, a small architecture, ask when there is a better way, zero legacy, say less.

Impact

• Replaced: the editor redesign (0020) and its schema, the schema for Figma-like components (0024), drawn elements, the edit-state and caching notes, components like Figma, drawn images, settings placement, and plain pages in View. What they decided either changed or belongs to the rebuild.
• The schema is designed again at the schema stage (an owner gate), from the new screens.
• Babul Kit is removed: 2026-10-23-no-kit.
• The example every screen draws is example-northwind; Chitragupt (demo-tenants) stays only in the old app's seed until the rebuild.
• Still in force: 2026-10-13-product-access, 2026-10-14-git-model, 2026-10-17-analysis-read-only, 2026-10-17-cli-and-mcp, 2026-10-17-get-code, 2026-10-19-walk-free-automatic-team, 2026-10-21-ref-in-the-path.
