Why it is drawn this way

It is Pages with the history panel open. The board shows the version that is selected.

One row per change: when, who, and what changed. A capture is a row too, because it changes the file.

Restore is on the selected row only. Restoring adds a new version on top. Nothing is lost.

There is no save button anywhere, so this panel is the only place versions appear.
