COST.SCANSummary
What one scan costs to serve, measured from the model's own usageMetadata
rather than taken from a paper.

| LIVE.CLARIFY | 570 in / 347 out tokens · $0.00066 · $0.66 per 1,000 | 2026-09 |
| LIVE.LATENCY | 3.4–4.9 s end to end, 7 scans against the deployed function | 2026-09 |
At the live figure, $10 buys ~11,000 scans. A free user who spends the whole trial costs $0.011; a Plus user at the 100/month cap costs $0.11.
The two sets disagree because they were taken on different models and prompts:
the live pair predates the eval's move to gemini-3.1-flash-lite. The harness
used to report the group TOTAL under a column headed "cost" — a hundred-fold
error in the number the free tier and the price are set from — and now reports
per scan.
