Onboarding is three steps, then Analysis

Summary

1. Company — its name, prefilled from the email domain.
2. Your product — the name; the way in (from a URL, from images, blank); the address; the sizes the site supports (Web 1440, Tablet 1024, Mobile 390 — at least one); one design that adapts or a separate design per size; and the stack, detected from the site ("Detected: React + Tailwind · Change"), asked inline when it cannot be detected.
3. Capture — who uses the product: Open always, + Add role with a test email and password. Then Capture. From images shows the upload here; blank skips this step and opens the editor.

Then Analysis.

Why it matters

Every step is a place someone leaves. Nothing is asked that capture or a default can answer. There is no Plan step and no payment: everyone starts on the free month with no card (2026-10-22-onboarding-three-steps-free-ai).

Implications

• Nothing about people is asked. Members are added later in Settings.
• The free month gets a small AI allowance (25 image conversions, 10 AI edits), so From images works on day one. Running out shows the paywall.
• A capture that meets a sign-in with no role pauses and asks.
• Form steps sit in a centred column, Back on the left, next on the right.
