SURFACE.MOBILE.GAME.SELECTEDSummary
A piece is picked up: its square is lit and every legal move is marked.

Why it is drawn this way
A quiet move is a dot and a capture is a ring. Two shapes, not two colours, so the difference survives colour blindness and any board colour. The current app paints every target square green and does not tell a capture from a move.
Only legal moves are marked. A move that would leave your king in check gets no dot. src/lib/game.ts already filters these.
Tapping the piece again puts it down. No cancel button.
The marks can be switched off. Show legal moves is a setting in settings. A player who is learning wants them; a player who is practising does not.
The drawn position is real. White's queen on h5 and knight on g5 make queen takes h7 checkmate, so that ring leads to won. Every other mark plays the move and hands over to the computer.
