Why it is drawn this way

The one real question is where the two players sit. Face to face, the phone lies between them and the board never turns: White is at the bottom, and Black's strip is drawn upside down so the player opposite can read it. Passing the phone, the board turns to face whoever is to move.

No names. The sides are White and Black. Asking for two names before a game is a form in front of a board.

No level and no colour. There is no computer, and the two players decide between themselves who takes White.

The note says nothing is sent anywhere. It is true: the app has no network call of its own. It is said here because this is the screen where two people put a phone between them.
