Decision

Inbox (uploads + view) is free forever. The Tax / Expense / Portfolio engine unlocks per AY at the tier prices in copy-strings. No subscriptions, no auto-renew.

Why

Indian filers don't think monthly. One-time payment per AY matches the mental model.

Impact

• tier-free keeps uploads + view forever; parsing is gated.
• Engine unlocks priced per AY: tier-self, tier-ai-self, tier-pro-family.
• pricing-upgrade-topups handles same-AY tier upgrades.
• No subscription billing, no auto-renew anywhere in the codebase.
