Decision

V1 has no manual data entry for tax, expense, or portfolio. All inputs come from uploaded documents. Capital gains is driven from broker statements only; the standalone capital-gains entry screen is retired.

Why

Prevents drift between the user's mental model and the ledger; aligns with the "we read documents, you don't type tax numbers" pitch.

Impact

• No manual entry UI for tax, expense, or portfolio.
• Capital gains drives from broker statements only — the standalone "capital-gains entry" screen is RETIRED from V1.
• "Add a sale" / "type your salary" forms are wrong by definition.
• Affects upload-only, pillar-tax, pillar-expense, pillar-portfolio, pillar-inbox, inbox-document-types.
