Purpose

What Learning Platform is for, who it is for, and what it is not. From the repo's own pages.

What it is

A learning management system where a course is code. The instructor keeps the course as files in their own GitHub repository; the app reads them and the database holds only metadata (course-as-code). It answers PROB-0001: course content has no version-controlled home. Why it was started was not written down at the time.

Who it is for

Instructors who edit a course in a repository, and the students who take it (roles). No real instructor or learner is on record.

What it is not

  • Not a content store: lessons stay in the instructor's repository (course-as-code).
  • Not paid for without a reason: running cost must stay near zero while nothing earns (PROB-0004).
  • Not tested by a suite: there is none, on purpose (testing).

Status

A public demo on Vercel (release.yml). The deployed API has not been shown to work (PROB-0001). Words used here: glossary.
