Why it is drawn this way

There is no control. handleStartRecording sets COUNTDOWN, waits 3000 ms, then starts. It cannot be cancelled from the screen. The drawing makes the disc the link forward so the set can be walked.

The menu and banner are gone. COUNTDOWN counts as recording, so both are hidden.

Capture starts after the wait. startRecording is called only once the three seconds have passed; the disc ends on Go!.
