Decision

The single source for prices, labels, states and copy strings is the entity page catalog (wiki/entities/catalog.md, id CATALOG.PROPERTY). apps/web/src/data/catalog.ts and src/types/catalog.ts are the hand-kept code mirror.

Why

There is no CATALOG.md any more: the wiki moved to the page-type layout on 2026-10-04 and the catalog became an entity page. The rule the old decision set (one source, no magic numbers) stands; only the file changed. Nothing generates the code from the page yet, so the two can drift.

Impact

• Change a value on catalog first, then in catalog.ts.
• The old decision's text still says CATALOG.md; read it as this page.
• A generated packages/copy is proposed in architecture-overview and does not exist.

Status

Active. Supersedes 2026-06-07-catalog-is-source-of-truth.
